Placement Remarks

You are required to wear black pants, black non- slip shoes and a white t-shirt which you will need to get on her own. We will provide a chef coat and apron.

A complimentary meal is offered per shift worked.

You will accrue up to 40 hours of Personal Time off during your 1 year of training.

No housing is offered, you must secure it before your arrival.

Fulton Market, Randolph Market, Jackson Boulevard and Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is best known as the location of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios, but this downtown neighborhood is also an up-and-coming spot for Chicago’s trendsetters. Several sub-neighborhoods within West Loop make this a unique neighborhood to visit.

Transportation:  Chicago is a fairly walkable city, and if something is too far to walk, they have a reliable public rail system called the ‘L’. As is ready public transportation in Chicago, we do not believe that a car is needed in this city.

Housing: Housing options in Chicago are extremely varied in price. You can find Studio apartments as low as $1100 per month, though there are of course more expensive options the closer you are to the heart of the city, and the larger the apartment. It is recommended to find a roommate to split the costs with. Please note, that without established credit, your first and last month’s rent may be required as a deposit. HRC recommends you arrive with at least $2,500 as startup capital and to help secure housing.
